Coalition “Free Russsian Whales” began single protests near the head-quaters of Russian State authorities responsible for not taking action on confiscation of 50 beluga whales from the illegal possession of four capture companies. The first protest is now taking place at the central entrance of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Russia.
⠀
In the meantime, captors have agreed to sign the agreements! This was announced by A. Smorodov, the press secretary of VNIRO, to the representative of the coalition Dmitry Lisitsyn.
⠀
VNIRO reports on its website that documents for the transfer of animals are already being processed by the capture companies. Vessels are being prepared for transportation of 50 beluga whales and are on a roadstead near Srednaya Bay. Loading of animals will take place in the coming days.
⠀
Friends, thanks to your help – we were able to shift the situation. Thanks to everyone who wrote letters and shared information! Also with your support our team is now getting ready for visual monitoring of release.
⠀
But stay alert, we can’t relax until the animals are free!
