Coalition “Free Russian Whales” and Greenpeace Russia continue to monitor the “Whale jail” in Srednyaya Bay

Around 16:30 local time (9:30 Moscow time), the vessel “Zodiac” approached the enclosures with beluga whales. 8 people were delivered there by two boat trips. After that, the “Zodiac” returned to the roadstead in the Bay of Vostok. “Professor Kaganovsky” has not moved anywhere and remains on the roadstead also in the Vostok Bay.

Purchase agreements of beluga whales on the government procurement website hasn’t appeared yet. However, there are purchases for the lease of a pier in Srednaya Bay and the purchase of waterproof inserts and stretchers for loading and transportation of animals.

We are worried that things are moving so slowly. But let’s hope that in the next two days beluga whales will go free. We continue to observe
