You all noticed that in the past few weeks, there has been no news from the whale jail. After the public statement of the council of scientists on April 25 about the absence of contraindications (based on health state) for release of all animals, no news appeared. The next meeting of the council, at which rehabilitation plans should be presented, will take place only on May 15 and what to expect from this meeting – one can only guess, because the president’s demand to involve interested non-profit organizations to participate in decision on the fate of orcas and the belugas are still ignored.

Only because of public outrage orcas and belugas have a chance to return to freedom. If not for all of you, then these beautiful animals would already be in the hands of Chinese businessmen. A lot of money is at stake, so we ask you to continue to maintain a public pressure and show russian authorities that the topic is NOT FORGOTTEN and that ALL OF US ARE WAITING FOR ALL ANIMALS TO BE RELEASED THIS SUMMER and NO LATER THAN THAT! It is very important!
