Pamela Anderson asks Vladimir Putin to protect whales and dolphins from capture once and for all

October 9, 2019

The famous Hollywood actress again turned to the Russian president with a letter, where she expressed gratitude to Vladimir Putin for the bold decision to free belugas and orcas from the whale jail.

“I’m writing to thank you for making the bold decision to free the whales and orcas held in captivity in a bay near Nakhodka. With the relocations underway, I commend you for committing to releasing the remaining 75 whales and for not permitting the live capture of free-ranging beluga whales and several dolphin species in Russian waters in 2020.” – the letter addressed to the president said.

The actress drew the president’s attention to the fact that live captures bring a lot of stress, possible injuries, death and a decrease in the population in the long term; and that this adversely affects not only captured animals, but also the entire population.

“Thank you again for your commitment to ensuring that the remaining whales are released and for not issuing new capture permits of any cetacean species in Russian waters. When all the dolphins and whales are swimming freely in the ocean rather than being confined for entertainment, Russia can rightfully take credit for protecting all cetaceans, ”the actress wrote in the letter.

We can not thank Pamela Anderson enough. This is not the first time when her actions show the real love for the nature of Russia , and it is worth great respect! Thank you Pamela! Without you, we would not be able to free the whales!
