Today the Frunzensky District Court in Vladivostok found one of the companies – White whale LLC, who engaged in capture of orcas, guilty for violation of fisheries rules. The company was fined 28 million 173 thousand rubles. Case against other companies is still in process.

“The court ruled that White whale LLC was found guilty of committing an administrative offense and punished with a fine of twice the cost of aquatic biological resources equal to 28.173 million rubles, without confiscating the vessel and fishing gear,” the judge said.

Cases concerning other companies that also engaged in capture of orcas – “Sochi Dolphinarium”, “Afalina”, “Oceanarium DV” the court will process on 10th and 11th of June.
